Main changes

What changed in the current firmware.

01Weather data

Forecasts without an account

Both models use KNMI HARMONIE via Open-Meteo. On the 2.8-inch station, MET Norway is the fallback; on XL it runs as an independent reference.

02Connection

More reliable weather updates

The new firmware improves DNS handling so changing router settings are less likely to interrupt weather updates.

03Polaris XL

Sky map and updated weather icons

XL includes the schematic HEMEL sky map. Its weather icons match the displayed conditions, with separate day and night views.

Manuals availableAstroStation manual v1.3 and XL manual v1.4 describe the current firmware. Both PDFs are in Dutch.
